I am an accredited counsellor and registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I am committed to continuous professional development.
I trained at The Gestalt Centre London and have worked with counselling services in Camden, Soho and Harlow, and as clinical assessor/student counsellor at universities/colleges in Central London and Loughton. I hold a BACP endorsed Certificate in Clinical Supervision and have worked as associate supervisor in Higher Education gaining further supervision experience. My background is teaching and the visual arts.
I have experience in both long and short-term counselling working with a wide range of issues, including depression, anger, anxiety and panic attacks, stress, low self-esteem, relationships, bereavement, trauma and loss.
Having lived in different countries myself and being actively involved in the visual arts, I am particularly interested in issues of belonging / identity as well as creative anxiety affecting professionals and students.
